In the second of a couple of belated welcome News Items I am pleased to formally announce PurpleDank has returned to us to become a Member again!! PurpleDank left us for a short while to pursue other games and interests but has found the gaming tide has brought him back to our shores once more - it's the Circle Of Gaming!!

Geordie has already done the basics for the Forums etc, and I have now added your ability to sign up for Clan Matches and will be doing the final touches to your Membership later on.

QuietKnight

I'd like everyone to welcome our latest Member, QuietKnight!! Q, for short, has found a new home here after playing on the servers and then coming onto Vent and getting to know us. I think his application says it all - he mentions he "just wants to enjoy a game with like minded, semi-sane people" and that is exactly what we are all about. Good to have you in the Clan Q!!

26th Annual Golden Joystick Awards

The 26th Annual Golden Joystick Awards have taken place with the combat-themed Call of Duty 4 scooping many of the major prizes.

There are 16 categories of awards and are decided by UK gamers, with more than 850,000 voting this year.

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, scooped "Ultimate Game of the Year", "Online Game of the Year" and "PC Game of the Year" awards.

Rockstar nabbed three gongs, picking up Developer Of The Year and Soundtrack Of The Year.

Grand Theft Auto IV, the fastest-selling video game of all time, received a soundtrack of the year award and an Xbox game of the year award.

Family game of the Year went to Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock while the handheld game of the year prize went to Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass on the Nintendo DS.

CoD : WW Beta Server Now Live

We now have a CoD : WW Beta Server live on 81.19.219.51:28962. At the moment everything is pretty much stock, I have changed it to Hardcore, Friendlyfire is ON, and a few other settings have been altered to reflect our preferences. Please see the main forums for more information. This replaces the CoD : Modern Warfare Custom Map / Modded server.

MonkeyNut

I'd like everyone to welcome MonkeyNut as our latest member!! It's been a while coming and now Matt can don his tags and join us properly. As with all our Members, MonkeyNut has displayed an excellent approach to gaming and enjoys himself on the servers and Vent. Once again - welcome to the Clan!!

Stats

As I am sure most of you will now be aware, we have a stats page available giving a very detailed breakdown and standings of peoples performance in CoD 4 : Modern Warfare. It's currently at BETA which means the bulk of it is up and running, but we still have a few bugs to iron out, features to add and decide how best to use it. Keep your eyes on the forums as more news will be posted there as and when. This has been made possible with the addition of Roadkill as Website Support Staff, ably assisting Hobbes in the day to day running of the website.
